This position ensures the timely processing of financial transactions, reconciling accounts, managing payroll, and preparing financial reports. The bookkeeper works closely with staff, volunteers, and the finance team to maintain transparency and accountability in all financial matters. The position requires knowledge of accounting principles, attention to detail, and a passion for supporting the mission of Marytown.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for Marytown, including donations, expenses, and income from the gift shop, operations for supporting the mission of Marytown.
Record daily financial transactions and general ledger entries
Reconciliation of all bank accounts
Maintain departmental accounts by verifying allocating and posting transactions.
Assist in counting collections from mass/candles and various sources of income.
Verifies accuracy of transactions and makes sure they're correc tly entered in ledgers.
Record and pay vendor invoices.
Process and maintain payroll records.
File monthly sales tax return.
Develop monthly financial reports for management.
