Light a Candle in the Chapel

“The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it”(John 1:5)
The practice of lighting a candle to accompany our prayers is an ancient Christian custom and an outward sign of our interior prayer request before God.

The light of the candles, like our prayers, pierce the darkness and rise to heaven, day and night. To light a candle to accompany our prayers is an act of HOPE. When we light a candle to accompany our prayer, we remember Christ’s words that He is the “Light of the World.” (John 8:12)

Have a real candle lit for your intentions in the Marytown chapel
You are invited to have an actual candle lit in Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Chapel at Marytown, for a donation of $5 or more, to help for the cost of the candle. Your prayer requests are prayed for by the friars, and a candle will be lit in the Chapel for your intentions.
